We aim to make our family photography sessions relaxed, spontaneous… and most of all fun!
Our sessions involve minimal posing as we love capturing beautiful, natural candid moments that highlight each families individual personalities.
All families are unique, so we believe that no two family photoshoots should be the same. In Newcastle, we are spoilt for a choice of location for an outdoor family photoshoot. If you have somewhere in mind, let us know, otherwise, we are happy to suggest a location for you. If an outdoor session isn’t for you, you may prefer an in-home lifestyle portraiture session where we can capture you and your family just as you are.

OUR SESSIONS
Family Photography.
Our standard family sessions are often taken on location in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley regions around sunrise or sunset (for the best natural light). They usually take around 1 hour. We will supply you with a high-resolution file library that you own forever.
Newborn Lifestyle Photography.
Our newborn photography sessions are all done in the home. We appreciate how hard it can be to get out and about with a little one, so we come to you. These sessions can last anywhere from 1 - 3 hours as we like to leave plenty of time for feeding and settling. These sessions capture such a precious, fleeting moment in time as you settle into life as a family.

FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY
What is the best time of day for my family portrait session to take place?
All our family photography sessions are best taken around sunrise or sunset when the light is the softest.
What should we wear?
We always say first and foremost you should feel comfortable in what you are wearing. Consider how your outfits will look altogether and try to avoid clashing colours and patterns. We also recommend avoiding everyone matching; it's important that your personality still shines through. If you are unsure, an excellent failsafe choice is to go with neutral colours like grey, navy, white, beige etc. Another way to decide on a colour suite is to use the pattern of one item of clothing as a base for your colour palette.
Where does the photoshoot take place?
Our family sessions take place in Newcastle and surrounding areas. Luckily we are spoilt for choice! We are so fortunate to live in such proximity to many beautiful beaches and bushlands. From Nobbys down to Redhead beach, there are plenty of great beach spots to choose from. We've also found some hidden gems in and around Glenrock and Blackbutt if greenery is more your thing. Or maybe an urban session suits your family best, with so much incredible street art to use as a colourful backdrop you can't go wrong! These are just some of our suggestions. If you have somewhere special in mind, just let us know, and we are more than happy to check it out.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, we do! All our gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. We require total payment upfront, and bookings must be made at least six weeks before the session. Our vouchers are printable pdf vouchers with the option to include a personalised message.
How many images do I receive?
You receive 20 high-resolution digital images with your family photography package that you can select from a private online gallery after the session. But don’t worry if you are struggling to narrow it down; we have packages available for you to purchase any additional images you may want.
How do I receive my images?
Your images will be available to download via dropbox.
How long does a family photography session take?
Family sessions last for up to 1 hour. We find this is plenty of time for us to capture some beautiful, natural, candid moments and just enough time before the kids lose interest!
How long after my shoot will I receive my images?
This depends on our workload, but generally, we try and have your gallery emailed within two weeks of your session. You may find that this is a little longer during busy periods, but we will always communicate an expected time frame when you book your session.
NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY
When should I book my Newborn photography session?
Please don’t leave it too close to your due date to book to avoid missing out on a newborn session. We recommend contacting us when you are around 3-6 months pregnant. At that time, we take a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure your session and book you in for your due date. We ask that you let us know when your little one arrives so that we can organise a date and time for your session when you are home.
How long will the photo shoot take?
Our newborn sessions can last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours, depending on your baby. We don’t like to rush these sessions and allow plenty of time for feeding and settling. Our lifestyle sessions are all about capturing you and your new baby just as you are so, please don’t worry if things aren’t perfect or feeding and settling are taking longer than you think they should.
What is the best time of day for a newborn session?
Where possible, we try and schedule sessions for first thing in the morning.
What should my baby wear?
You should dress your baby in something that compliments your outfits. Neutral colours are great as they don’t tend to clash with other colours/patterns that you might be wearing. We bring wraps and blankets with us to the session, which we use to lie your baby on or wrap them in. We also love to see what wraps you have, there are some beautiful ones around, and there is a good chance you already have a perfect wrap for the session.
Where does the newborn photoshoot take place?
Our lifestyle newborn sessions all take place in the home. This takes the stress out of leaving the house with a newborn and allows us to capture beautiful, personal moments as you settle in together as a family.
Can my other children be involved in the newborn photoshoot?
Absolutely! The more, the merrier! We love capturing the bond siblings have with their new brother or sister. And don’t forget your four-legged family members too!
